I find that most JFK conspiracies hinge on a poorly thought out motive based entirely on a naive, heavily flawed understanding of who John F. Kennedy was as a person and as a President.  JFK was a staunch supporter of a robust government, both at home and abroad.

In school, we're taught that JFK's lasting legacy from a foreign policy standpoint is his handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis -- specifically, how he peacefully resolved the situation and avoided war with Cuba and the Soviet Union.  In reality, JFK's foreign policy legacy is his administration's signing-off on multiple assassination attempts on Fidel Castro (the top secret nature of which were responsible for most of the "offness" of the Warren Commission) and the escalation if the United States' involvement in the Vietnam War.

The reality is this: the CIA had free reign under JFK and the military-industrial complex had little to complain about.  The supposed motive for them to kill Kennedy does not stand up to logical scrutiny or critical inquiry.  The only story that stands up to such scrutiny is the official one.
